Rulebook overview

The marketing site explains the league and hub.kanaliiga.fi runs it. Neither is the right home for detailed competition rules, so the rulebook lives here.

Finishing it matters beyond tidiness. Rulebook readiness is one of the signals feeding the go/no-go decision, the Discord #rulebook-questions channel is gated on it, and roster and substitute questions elsewhere in the project are deferred to it.

Fullstack League uses the SEUL ry CS2 tournament rules as its base. This rulebook contains additions and exceptions to those rules.

The settings carried over from that base:

Setting Value
Rounds MR12 (max rounds 12)
Overtime money 12 500
Map veto Conducted in the FACEIT match room
Tactical timeouts 4 × 30 seconds
POV demos Not required from players

Where sources conflict, the higher entry wins:

  1. Rules published for the specific season being played.
  2. This rulebook.
  3. SEUL ry CS2 tournament rules.
  4. FACEIT platform rules, where everything above is silent.

Separately, where the hub’s recorded state and someone’s recollection differ, the hub is the source of truth for results, standings and rosters.

Much of this rulebook is adapted from the Kanaliiga CS2 rulebook and Captain’s Manual, refined over 18 seasons of actually running CS in Finland. Rules specific to Kanaliiga being a company league — employment requirements, combined SME teams, borrowing players between an organisation’s teams — are deliberately not carried over, because Fullstack League is open to anyone.

Fullstack League is an independent league and is not run by, affiliated with or owned by Kanaliiga. It uses their Hub platform, and their rules as a starting point, and that’s the extent of it.

English is the primary operating language, with Finnish support in the community where needed. If a translation and the English text conflict, the English text governs.

Changes are recorded in the Changelog. Mid-season changes should be rare and are announced rather than quietly edited.
