Changelog

Rule changes are recorded here rather than quietly edited into place. Teams need to be able to see what changed between the season they last played and the one they’re about to.

How to add an entry

Newest first. One heading per release, dated, naming the season it takes effect from. Say what changed and why in a sentence — the reason is the part people actually need.

## 2026-09-01 — effective Season 1

- **Substitutes:** teams may register up to two, eligible from the group stage
  onward. Added because five-player rosters proved fragile across a nine-week
  season.

Mid-season changes should be rare. When one is unavoidable, mark it clearly as taking effect mid-season and announce it in #season-updates as well as recording it here.
